PauseKits is designed as a private, offline, local-first mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, where that information is stored, and the choices available to you.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the PauseKits mobile application for Android and iOS and to privacy-related information presented through pausekits.com .

In this policy, “PauseKits,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developer and publisher of the PauseKits application.

2. Information handled by PauseKits

PauseKits allows you to create and manage information such as the following:

This information is used only to provide the app's local features. PauseKits does not operate a server that receives or stores this content.

3. Information we do not collect

In the current version of PauseKits, we do not collect or transmit:

Your message drafts, unsent notes, trigger plans, or logistics scripts.
Your name, email address, phone number, or account credentials.
Your contacts, call history, SMS messages, or messaging-app content.
Your precise or approximate location.
Your photos, microphone recordings, camera data, or media library.
Your social-media accounts, profiles, stories, last-seen status, or activity.
Advertising identifiers for targeted advertising.
Health, medical, diagnostic, or therapy records.

PauseKits does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, AI processing services, social-login services, or cloud-sync services.

4. Local storage and retention

Information created in PauseKits is stored locally on your device. We cannot view, retrieve, recover, or remotely delete this information because it is not uploaded to us.

Local information remains on your device until you delete it within the app, clear the app's storage through your device settings, or uninstall the app.

Device backups may include application data depending on your operating-system and backup settings. Those backups are controlled by you and the relevant platform provider.

5. Local notifications

PauseKits may ask for permission to schedule notifications for features such as:

A draft-unlock time.
A reset timer.
A no-check pause.
A trigger-day reminder.

These notifications are scheduled locally through your device's operating system. PauseKits does not use a remote push-notification server.

You may deny notification permission or disable notifications at any time in your device settings. Core app features remain available without notification permission.

6. App lock (PIN)

If you enable app lock, PauseKits will require a numeric PIN code each time the app is opened. Authentication is performed locally within the app.

PauseKits does not transmit your PIN code to us or to any external server. To verify access, the app stores your PIN locally on your device. This local storage is protected by your device's standard app sandbox, but it is not encrypted separately by PauseKits.

We recommend using a PIN code that is not easily guessable and that differs from common patterns (such as your birth date).

7. Copying and sharing

PauseKits allows you to copy text from your drafts and notes to your device clipboard. When you paste or share that text with another app, it is no longer controlled by PauseKits.

Once information is copied or shared outside PauseKits, the privacy and security practices of the destination app, service, device, or person will apply.

8. Deleting your data

You can delete individual drafts, plans, sessions, or other records from within the app where the relevant option is available.

You can also use the app's "Delete all local data" function to remove locally stored PauseKits content and settings.

You may additionally delete local app data through your device settings or by uninstalling PauseKits.

Because we do not maintain user accounts or a remote database of app content, there is no server-side account or content deletion request to submit to us.

9. Apple App Store and Google Play services

Apple and Google independently process information related to:

App discovery and store browsing.
App purchase and payment processing.
Installation and updates.
Store accounts and device compatibility.
Fraud prevention and refunds.
Platform diagnostics and store performance.

PauseKits does not receive your full payment-card details.

We may receive sales, transaction, installation, or diagnostic information that Apple or Google makes available to developers through their developer dashboards.

This platform information does not include the private drafts, notes, plans, or scripts you create inside PauseKits.

10. Security

PauseKits is designed to minimize privacy risk by keeping sensitive app content on your device and by avoiding unnecessary accounts, servers, advertising, tracking, and external content-processing services.

The protection of locally stored information also depends on your:

Device security.
Operating-system security.
Screen lock and passcode.
Biometric settings.
Device backup settings.
Handling of exported or copied information.

No storage method or device can be guaranteed to be completely secure, especially if a device is lost, shared, compromised, or unlocked by another person.

We recommend using a device passcode and enabling the PauseKits app lock when available.

11. Children's privacy

PauseKits is intended for adults and is not designed or directed toward children under 18.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided information to us outside the app, please contact us using the details below.

12. Safety and scope

PauseKits is a self-reflection and communication-boundary utility. It is not:

Therapy.
Medical advice.
Legal advice.
Crisis support.
A diagnostic service.
A relationship-repair service.

PauseKits does not predict another person's feelings or behavior and does not make decisions for you.

If you are in immediate danger, may harm yourself or another person, or are experiencing abuse, coercion, stalking, or threats, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional support service.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if PauseKits features, technology, legal obligations, or data practices change.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

If a future version introduces accounts, cloud sync, advertising, analytics, AI processing, remote crash reporting, or any other transfer of user data, this Privacy Policy and the relevant Apple App Store and Google Play privacy disclosures will be updated to reflect those changes.
